"I cannot recommend Allinthemind Photography highly enough. Simon Young photographed our wedding in August 2008 and he produced some excellent results, both my wife and I were thrilled with his results. Throughout the process Simon was extremely flexible and helpful, including visiting our home and the location prior to the shoot. Throughout the day his relaxed, unobtrusive, yet professional manner allowed him to put our guests at their ease and get some great naturalistic shots. We avoided the hour and a half spent at most weddings where the photographer marshals the guests into x number of forced poses with everyone getting fed up. Simon clearly has an eye for composing a great picture and it shows in his work. His price was at the lower end of mid-range and extremely competitive. Aftercare was also excellent, we got the pictures we wanted and free web hosting, with no hard sell or hidden "extras". You will not be disappointed if you hire Allinthemind photography."

"Our wedding day was definitely the happiest day of our lives together so far, you hear a lot of people say that but we had worked hard to ensure that all the pieces of the jigsaw were in place, everything was fantastic and a lot of treasured memories were made. We wanted our day to be informal, fun and reflecting our personalities and needed a Photographer that would not only reflect this in the pictures but would be a part of our celebration – for us that means a party atmosphere with photos that not only let you see people having a good time but you are able to feel it!
Simon did this with bells on! I’ve been to weddings in the past where guests have got weary of waiting for the seemingly endless parade of boring uninspired line ups that seem to be the norm or if you are involved in the immediate wedding party having to stand around for an absolute age often in the cold whilst posing in a way totally lacking originality with equally bored people who just want to be back with the party. This did not happen on our big day, we were able to enjoy every bit of our wedding without feeling we’d missed out or been unceremoniously plucked away from our guests and indeed having the pictures taken only enhanced the fun atmosphere. Simon’s photos show the whole story of the day from getting ready in the morning to our last dance late in the evening, not just the ‘bit in the middle’ which most couples tend to favour! When we went to see them and make our selection for our wedding album I cried as they brought to life the whole day all over again.
As the weeks pass and you only have your photos to bring back your wedding into sharp focus, we can’t stress enough how important it is to get your Photographer right as we can look at our pictures and remember everything. We would highly recommend Simon for your wedding or any special occasion, he has a natural ability to make you feel relaxed, enjoy yourself and forget the lense is pointing at you as well as being an experienced and refreshingly imaginative Photographer – thanks Simon you’re an absolute star!"

Simon Young: Wedding photographer par excellence... I cannot recommend Simon enough. If you are in the process of looking for a wedding photographer, his photographs are beautiful and technically ultra-advanced; his demeanour and organisation of our guests was very friendly, courteous and efficient; and the time he takes to ensure you get exactly what you want is generous and abundant. It was a pleasure to have Simon as an esteemed guest at our wedding. Claire and I wish him all the best for the future great success that he undoubtedly deserves.

Portrait Photography Course Review I recently attended the Intermediate Portrait Photography (Part 1) course in the Blackthorn School of Photography, Cricklade, near Swindon. Simon Young was the instructor, and the course ran over two days. The course was extremely educational. Simon teaches you how to understand what constitutes a good photograph, so that you can then design and create your own good photographs. This course is unlike any other course that I considered. Other courses are limited to providing lighting setups without providing an understanding of why such setups are successful. This course certainly makes you think! I would strongly recommend it for anybody who really wants to understand the entire process behind taking great portrait photographs. Simon is an excellent instructor, who gentle leads you to discover the answers to questions yourself. He is also extremely friendly, and great fun. Portrait Level 1 - September 2010 Just wanted to say a big thank you to Simon from Blackthrone, the course has really helped I can't wait for part two. Ladies and Gentleman if you shoot portraits or weddings and you havn't spent time with Simon Young you are really missing out, I know oh too well that there are more expensive courses out there from the big boys but trust me Simon kicks arse – literally changed the way I look at photograghy forever. Loads and loads or theory, if you want to know the why, when and how to take photo's of people look no further…. Thanks again Simon… Ian………..

Fantastic Photographer Simon photographed our wedding last year, and we were thrilled with the service. He met us before the day, taking great care to understand exactly the style we were looking for, and then delivered this perfectly; producing a lot of amazing shots which really captured the true essence of the day. However, one of the best things about Simon compared to many other wedding photographers is the way he really fits in on the day. He's the sort of person who can help even the most nervous groom relax and will instantly build a good rapport with all your guests - crucial to delivering the perfect shots. Moreover, he didn't waste any time at all over the formal pictures, yet somehow was able to still bring the groups together quickly and deliver exactly what we wanted. PASSIONATE ABOUT HIS WORK Simon's work is truly stunning, he always captures the moment and is fantastic at making you feel relaxed, comfortable and best of all makes the shoot enjoyable. The Perfect Wedding Photographer Simon is one of the best wedding photographers around. His wealth of experience, unintrusive and friendly attitude, and ability to capture the perfect image is what makes him so special. Guests are putty in his hands and everyone seems to fall under his spell so photographs are captured without stress and with speed to ensure that your special day is not taken up with endless hours in front of the camera. I couldn't recommend a more experienced, professional and genuinely fantastic person to trust to make your wedding memories something you'll cherish forever and want to look at again and again. Amazing coach Simon coached me on two seperate occasions, one on one and group. He has helped me understand technicalities and process in areas where I was lacking, and to tap into creative aspects which brought new ways of thinking. A wonderful wedding photographer... Simon is a wonderful wedding photographer with a special gift for being friendly and approachable whilst also maintaining complete professionalism. Simon made the whole process enjoyable, from the moment when we first met to decide on our preferred approach, through to meeting with him afterwards to select our photographs, which was a surprisingly moving experience. He was a real gem on the day, helping to keep us all relaxed whilst trying to organise over one hundred guests! And the photos Simon produced are magnificent and a fantastic reminder of our special day. We really could not have asked for more. Thank you Si!

an excellent photographer Simon is a superb photographer.... he shot our daughters wedding and did an amazing job. He has superb interpersonal skills ...just right for such an event ...makes everyone feel very relaxed and, whats more, he delivers in spades. Great job. I have happily recommended Simon to many others, all of whom have been very happy with his services, and will continue so to do.
